As a marketer, I have always wanted to be data-informed but not data-driven. I know that data alone won’t make my content stand out (originality and creativity are more important than ever!), but it can help my creativity flow in the right direction.
That’s why I’m excited to write this: We’ve rebuilt Buffer’s analytics capabilities from the ground up and today we’re launching Insights – analytics that help you plan your next move.
Analytics is something we’ve wanted to reinvent for a long time, so this one is close to my heart. I believe that what we have created is powerful and different than anything else out there. This is how they differ.
Insights for everyone, free of charge
Insights is aimed at everyone on social media, from the solo creator checking out a channel to the agency juggling a dozen client brands.
The choice in social analytics has long been frustrating. Insights provides you with meaningful, actionable insights on the free plan and more detailed reporting on paid plans when needed.

Insights works with the rest of your stack, including AI agents. We recently launched our public API and an MCP server so you can query your data and create with it however you want.
